Abstract:

The purpose of this application, under Articles 29 and 55.3.1 of the Code, is to remove the homonymy of Cepheidae Berlese, 1896 (type genus Cepheus Koch, 1835) (Acariformes) with Cepheidae Agassiz, 1862 (type genus Cephea Péron & Lesueur, 1810) (Cnidaria), by emending the former to Cepheusidae Berlese, 1896.
