Abstract:

The purpose of this application, under Article 23.9.3 of the Code, is to suppress the unused name Clausilia ventricosa var. quadriplicata Fitzinger, 1833, in order to conserve the name Clausilia quadriplicata Schmidt, 1868 (currently Quadriplicata quadriplicata), which has been consistently in use since its inception, and for which no junior replacement name is available.
