Zoobank Policies

Developing and maintaining ZooBank requires a set of agreed policies on topics such how it is implemented, which names and nomenclatural acts are included within its content, data access and usage, rules concerning mandatory registration, minimal data content and quality for constituting verified records; policies regarding content quality assurance. Draft policies have been developed by policy working groups (or subcommittees), as listed here: ZooBank Committee.

Public input in the draft policies is strongly encouraged. You may enter your comments directly in the commenting field under each draft, or email comments to the ZooBank Committee Chair, Frank Krell (Frank.Krell@dmns.org). The Commission will consider input and vote on each policy after it has had a minimum public input period of one month.
