Osteichthyes
Comment on the proposed suppression of Gobius lagocephalus Pallas, 1770 (Osteichthyes, Teleostei, GOBIIDAE)
A suppression of Gobius lagocephalus Pallas, 1770 is unnecessary and would cause instability in the nomenclature of the genus Sicyopterus.

suppression of the name Gobius lagocephalus Pallas, 1770 and my agreement with Kottelat, Larson, Watson & Keith’s (BZN 65: 57–60) proposal to retain the present usage.
