David Patterson

David J. Patterson has worked on the taxonomy, evolution and biogeography of protozoa and other protists at the Universities of Bristol and Sydney, and he is now located at the Marine Biological Laboratory, Woods Hole, Massachusetts where he has been working on the Encyclopedia of Life Project.
His taxon-specific expertise includes heterotrophic flagellates, heliozoa, ciliates, and free-living amoebae. Currently, he is embedding taxonomic expertise within network services in order to improve the management of biodiversity information.
