| Abstract: | The Commission has ruled that the usage of the name Obovaria Rafinesque, 1819 is conserved for a freshwater bivalve from the eastern United States by designation of Unio retusa Lamarck, 1819 as the type species and that the name Obovaria obovalis Rafinesque, 1820 is a nomen oblitum. |
