Abstract:

The Commission has ruled that the name alfacariensis Ribbe, 1905, which is in widespread use for a butterfly species of the genus Colias Fabricius, 1807 (family PIERIDAE), is conserved by giving it precedence over three little used senior subjective synonyms, Colias hyale sareptensis Alphéraky, 1875, Colias hyale alba Rühl, 1893 and Colias hyale meridionalis Krulikowsky, 1903.
