Brief
To produce a draft 5th Code and consider proposing amendments before the 5th Edition comes into force.

Remit includes:

Draft 5th edition of the Code, including total restructuring if necessary
Proposed of correction of Art. 24.1 with deletion of Art. 55.5
Issues with types that have been released into the wild or are otherwise not available for study
Conflicts between French and English editions
Request for ruling on definition of “description”
Revision of Art. 13.1.1 to eliminate or replace “purported”
Assessment of methods of publication, including:
- Allowing electronic-only publications if mechanisms can be found that give reasonable assurance of the long-term accessibility of the information they contain
- Integrating a method of registration as part of the mechanism of allowing electronic publication of names and nomenclatural acts
- Disallowing physical works that are not paper-based (e.g. CD-ROMs, DVDs)
