Brief
To produce a draft 5th Code and consider proposing amendments before the 5th Edition comes into force.
Remit includes:
- Draft 5th edition of the Code, including total restructuring if necessary
- Proposed of correction of Art. 24.1 with deletion of Art. 55.5
- Issues with types that have been released into the wild or are otherwise not available for study
- Conflicts between French and English editions
- Request for ruling on definition of “description”
- Revision of Art. 13.1.1 to eliminate or replace “purported”

Assessment of methods of publication, including:
- Allowing electronic-only publications if mechanisms can be found that give reasonable assurance of the long-term accessibility of the information they contain
- Integrating a method of registration as part of the mechanism of allowing electronic publication of names and nomenclatural acts
- Disallowing physical works that are not paper-based (e.g. CD-ROMs, DVDs)

To improve interim functioning; If preparation of the 5th Code is prolonged, declarations and amendments dealing with alli issues except ZooBank and e-only publication (e.g. Article 24.1, language, etc.)
